Point Hill
This site in the West Greenwich Conservation Area was formerly occupied by lock up garages. The challenge was firstly to persuade the Council that a house in this location was acceptable in principle and then to design in a way that was both modern and fitted into the conservation area.
There was the added complication of a steep slope both across the site and from back to front, with a steep drop the other side of the rear boundary. The solution to this was to design a split level house which has three levels to the road frontage but four levels to the rear, all accessed of a central staircase. |
